We are thrilled to have been selected by NHS Newcastle Gateshead Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to provide community advocacy services for the next three years to people in marginalised groups such as BAME communities and people with mental health needs, learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
We have been funded by the CCG to provide these services for many years to adults in Newcastle and are excited to use our extensive experience to expand them to adults in Gateshead to ensure that their voices are heard in decisions about them and their rights upheld.
Jacqui Jobson, ACN Director said “I am extremely delighted to announce that we have been awarded this important contract to continue to provide community advocacy in Gateshead and Newcastle to marginalised groups. We are looking forward to working with Newcastle Gateshead CCG to develop this service further. This is excellent news especially coming shortly after we have won the Outstanding Advocacy Service Award at this year’s National Advocacy Conference”
Chris Piercy from Newcastle Gateshead CCG said “Staff from the CCG are looking forward to continuing our excellent working relationship with the Advocacy service to support the people of Newcastle and Gateshead"
